Explore the Serene St. Pete Flats: Cast, Sight, and Unwind!
I headed out with Thenna for a Mate's Fee Only Card Shared trip with SRS Adventures in St. Petersburg, Florida. May is a great time for flats fishing here, with warmer waters bringing more fish into the shallows. We met up at 1:00 AM, which gave us plenty of time to get set up and reach our spot before sunrise. The weather was on our side, with clear conditions throughout the day, and the water looked great for fishing.
We tried a variety of techniques on the flats, hoping to stir up some action. The calm water made for ideal sight-fishing conditions, and we spent time poling around looking for signs of fish. We kept our eyes peeled for any movement or shadows, ready to cast at a moment's notice. Even though the fish weren't biting, it was still a beautiful day to be out on the water.
Though we didn't manage to land any big prize, we still had a great time out on the water, enjoying the scenery and good company.
