I had a great time out on the water with Soundarya for our Mate's Fee Only Card Shared trip with SRS Adventures. We met up in St. Petersburg at 1:00 am, ready for some flats fishing action. May is a fantastic month for flats fishing in this area - the water's warming up, and the fish are getting more active.
The conditions were perfect for our trip. Clear skies all day, and the water was great for spotting fish. We tried out a variety of techniques on the flats, looking for any signs of life. Even though we didn't catch any fish this time, we still had a blast exploring different spots and trying different approaches.
It's days like these that remind me why I love guiding so much. Even when the fish aren't biting, there's always something to learn and enjoy out on the water. We talked about different fishing strategies, shared some stories, and just had a good time being out there. That's what it's all about - enjoying the experience, whether you catch fish or not.
