Sunrise Flats Adventure: St. Pete's May Fishing Thrills

I had a great time out on the flats with Vinod today, running a Mate's Fee Only Card Shared trip with SRS Adventures. We met up in St. Petersburg at 1:00 am, which is pretty early, but it's worth it to get the best shot at the fish. May is a killer time for flats fishing around here - the water's warming up, and the fish are getting more active.

The weather was on our side with clear conditions all day, and the water was great for sight fishing. We tried out a variety of techniques, working different spots on the flats. Even though we didn't manage to land any big prize, we still had a great time out on the water, enjoying the scenery and good company. That's just how fishing goes sometimes, but it doesn't make the day any less fun.

I showed Vinod some of my favorite spots and shared a few tips and tricks for fishing these waters. We saw a bunch of fish moving around, which is always exciting, even if they weren't biting.
