Sunrise Snapper: Thrilling Flats Fishing Adventure in St. Pete

We had a great day out on the flats with Thenna from SRS Adventures. May is a fantastic time for flats fishing in St. Petersburg, Florida, with the water warming up and fish getting more active. We met up at 1:00 AM, which gave us plenty of time to get out to the best spots before sunrise. The weather was partly cloudy, but that didn't slow us down one bit. The water conditions were great, making it easy to spot fish and work our techniques.

We tried out a variety of fishing methods throughout the day, keeping things interesting and giving us the best shot at landing some fish. The Red Snapper were biting, which was awesome. These fish put up a great fight, and Thenna did a fantastic job reeling them in. We had to work for each catch, but that just made it more rewarding when we got them in the boat. The partly cloudy sky actually worked in our favor, giving us some breaks from the sun and keeping the fish active.

As the day went on, we moved around to different spots on the flats, always on the lookout for signs of fish. The great water conditions made it easier to see what was going on below the surface. We talked about different techniques, shared some fishing stories, and just enjoyed being out on the water.
