Dive into the Flats: Early Morning Excitement Awaits in St. Pete!
Hey there! Just wrapped up a fun day out on the flats with Thenna for our Mate's Fee Only Card Shared trip with SRS Adventures. May's a great time to hit the water in St. Petersburg, Florida. The weather was perfect - clear skies all day, and the water conditions were spot-on for what we were after.
We met up at 1:00 AM, ready to try our luck. I gotta say, starting that early gives you a real edge - the fish are usually more active when it's cooler. We tried out a bunch of different techniques throughout the day. That's the beauty of flats fishing - you've got to be ready to switch things up to see what works.
Though we didn't manage to land any big prize, we still had a great time out on the water, enjoying the scenery and good company. That's what I love about these trips - even when the fish aren't biting, you're still out there, soaking in the day and learning something new. Thenna was a trooper, staying positive and keeping at it the whole time.
