Florida City Inshore: Hammerheads, Tuna & Great Whites with Kaviya

What a great day out, couldn't ask for more action! Kaviya and I headed out early morning in December from Florida City with partly cloudy skies and some early rain clearing up. The water conditions in the Kaveri River Basin were looking good for our inshore fishing adventure. We were cruisin' the flats with Thenna' DF ready to see what the backcountry had to offer.

With our gear rigged and ready, we worked the inshore waters and the bite was hot right from the start. Kaviya hooked up early with a solid Scalloped Hammerhead that put up a great fight, followed by some nice Red Snapper and Little Tunny action. The drag was screaming when we connected with a Yellowfin Tuna, and then things got real interesting when we landed a Great White Shark. Florida City's inshore waters are perfect for this kind of variety - y'all never know what's gonna hit next down by the glades. We wrapped up with bent rods all morning and smiles all around!
